Leconte Krickstein Paris Open 1995 (4-9)

Here's a classic match, note how Leconte can still generate a lot of topspin with his less extreme grip (eastern).

Roger Federer Backhand Analysis

Here's an analysis of Roger Federer's backhand, his motion is less complex than Gasquet's, but more complex than James Blake's.

Richard Gasquet's Backhand

Here is an analysis of Richard Gasquet's backhand. Gasquet's preparation is much more complex than James Blake's, but his results are impressive to say the least!

James Blake's Backhand

Here is a slow motion shot of James Blake's backhand his takeback is a compact pendulum swing. In my opinion, this is the easiest motion to start out with when hitting a one handed backhand. I will upload some loop back swings soon as well.

Federer's Footwork

Here's a video analysis of Roger Federer's footwork. In my opinion footwork is a very important aspect of the game having below par footwork usually makes your game below par as well. Notice how Roger positions himself on the court in the rally. There will be more footwork videos to follow:

Blake Practice

Here's James Blake practicing. You can learn a lot by looking at this video. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this.

Juan Bracho

This is an excellent set of videos. He has good instruction and tries to blend a sort of subliminal image of the proper strokes in his teaching methodology. He seems to use an eastern grip for his strokes, but don't let that stop you! Click link to his videos.
